Who we helped
Ailuna – an individual and employee sustainability engagement app, which makes it fun to develop habits that are good for us and the planet. And Petroc is a further education and higher education college who were working with young people wanting to have a positive impact in their community on one of their programmes.
What we did
Ailuna were wanting to better engage younger audiences, and Petroc’s young changemakers were wanting to make a positive impact on the environment and their local communities. Known Impact matched them based on mutual objectives and complimentary skillsets, and identified opportunities to Ailuna for an impactful partnership.
Impact
Petroc’s young people met with Ailuna’s sustainability program design lead in their region of the UK and had support from Ailuna’s app development team, behavioural science expert, and user experience expert to design and integrate new ‘actions’ by young people for young people into the app. Thanks to this partnership Ailuna gained insights into working with young people and designing something for their business for young people to feed into their objective of engaging younger audiences. And the young people themselves gained hands-on experience and insight into app writing and creation, and are now able to showcase their innovative ideas on a larger scale. They developed new skills and created something long-lasting embedding their social impact and legacy whilst developing new skills.
